Team Fortress 2 is now Free To Play

Industry trade website Develop-Online has revealed in an interview with Valve’s Robin Walker that Team Fortress 2 is now permanently free to play, and will solely be supported by in-game item purchases.

If you've ever spent money on TF2, you have a premium account. This includes purchasing the game before it was Free-to-Play, activating a retail version of the game, or making a purchase in the Mann Co. in-game store.

To play the game first you need to download Steam and then go to Steam Store to download the game.

Here are the differences between Free and Premium accounts:
